After a lengthy journey down the M6, Year 4 finally arrived at Cadbury World.
We had an interesting talk from Colin who explained how chocolate was made – from Bean to Bar. Being a historian he talked about the role of the Cadbury family in WWI, which linked nicely to our theme week in school. Roald Dahl was a fascinating topic of conversation as the children have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We had the chance to temper some chocolate in the Have a Go room and then went on to write our names in chocolate. The highlight of the day was our trip to the 4D cinema, where Freddo, Caramel and a naughty Parrot took us on a roller coaster adventure. All in all it was a fantastic trip with exemplary behaviour from all the children. Colin the educator said that “William Amory were one of the best schools to visit.” A few comments from the children about the trip included: “Visiting Cadbury World was the best school trip ever.”, “brilliant”, “Have a Go was my fave part.”, and “I loved learning how the chocolate was made.”
I’m sure the children told you all about their amazing trip to Cadbury World.
