“Shiver me timbers!” was the cry today as we completed another great Theme Week.
The theme this term was Treasure Island. All week children have been looking at the history behind the pirates that we all know and how they travelled and what they did.
On Thursday, A theatre company came in and gave us a production of Treasure Island which was, as usual, thoroughly enjoyable. There were plenty of “Har Har’s” and other essential Pirate jokes.
On Friday – we had a carousel of activities for all the children to take part in. The children were split into groups and experienced a variety of activities – from Swashbuckling sword fighting to treasure maps; from archery to making of doubloons and pearls. A great day.
