The role

Required as soon as possible.

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support both pupil(s) with specific needs and generally, helping them to access and engage with their varied learning opportunities both in the classroom and at play.

 

Job role is that of Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs Level II) Grade 4 SCP13 with a salary of between £10,707 and £11,148.

The Position is temporary with the potential of moving to permanent after 12 months. It is term time only starting at 09.00 and finishing at 13.10 from Monday to Friday inclusive.

 

The role comes in two parts:

·       Teaching Assistant supporting an individual and the group that pupil works with: (mornings) 15 hours per week.

·       In addition, the role would include lunchtime supervision of the children, an additional 1 hour 10 minutes per day.

Successful applicants will be invited to interview at a date to be decided.

 

Key requirements

An ability to relate with young children enthusiastically, creatively and flexibly to overcome barriers relating learning to real life, whist trying to broaden experience, are all essential skills.

An awareness or experience of special educational needs would be advantageous but not essential if the candidate is self-motivated to study specialist knowledge.
