Reception have been doing many different art and craft activities relating to Spring. They have painted flowers, created collages, designed their own seed packets and now made their own bug out of clay to celebrate the things Spring brings us. They all worked hard using their hands to mold and shape the clay to create a bug of their choice. Once they had the shape they desired, they used straws to create the legs and antennae. They already look brilliant and are drying in the classroom. The children can’t wait to paint them and many have already asked “Is it dry yet?”. We have a feeling we may hear this more than once over the next few days.
