Queen’s 90th Party

10th June 2016

Come rain or shine, The William Amory’s always up for a good party.

Dampened only slightly by the rain, the children and parents of The William Amory had a fantastic street party on Friday to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Over 300 people sat down to eat. Our original intention to all sit in rows on the playground had to change slightly because of the weather. But luckily we were able to get outside after a short spell to enjoy the party.

Each class did a short turn to show off their budding musical and comedic abilities and there were games a-plenty to play.

On behalf of all those who ate the fantastic food, and especially the cup cakes, many thanks to all the staff in the kitchen. I know that they have been working exceptionally hard to make 300+ cakes, each decorated in the red white and blue of the party.

A very well done to all children but particularly Year 1 for the fabulous hats. It was very hard to judge a winner from each class and I shall make sure that I get someone else to do that duty from now on!

Thanks to all who made it such a special day.
