11th          Open Day for Reception Children

Looking Forward

New Staff

I would like to welcome Mrs Costa and Mrs Jenkins who will be joining the school on Monday. Mrs Costa will work as a TA and dinner lady and Mrs Jenkins will provide sports for lunchtimes.

Open Day

Calling all potential parents looking at schools for children next year – our open day is on the 11th October 2018. We will have two tours on this day – one during school hours (09.15 to 10.30) and in the evening (18.30 start).

We recommend you come to the one during the school day as this will give you the best flavour of the school when it is full of pupils. However, the evening event is also available for parents who cannot make it during the day.

We would recommend that you don’t bring your children on these visits. This does seem a bit odd given that we are a school and all about children. But experience has shown that they can distract their parents during the tour as it does last quite some time. However – though we recommend you visiting without your children – they will, of course, be made most welcome.

Reminder – Keep our Crossing Patrol

Regretfully it seems that Staffordshire Crossing Patrols are scheduled to be a thing of the past. The local parish council have raised a petition that is available in our entrance foyer and on the KSI entrance door (inside). Please feel free to sign them (once only) if you wish to support the Parish Council’s campaign.

Below you will find a copy of the petition for your use if you prefer.

Football League

Well done to the team for your first set of matches this year. The children played well together and we can see a real team emerging here for 18/19. We won both our matches against Bishop Rawle and Cicily Haughton.

Well done!

As always, I will always do my best to speak to you about any concerns you may have on the day so please feel free to approach me, either on the playground or book an appointment if you prefer.
