Looking Forward

Reception Induction

Just to remind parents that our Reception induction takes place on 3rd July at 14.00. Please come to the entrance for then and we will have a short session with Mr Wilken before moving into the classroom.

Staff Absence

We’ve had a number of children off recently and it seems that the bug has hit our staff. Please excuse us for the absences we have had over recent weeks. We hope that we will all be recovered and ready within the next week.

Sports Day

We actually saw the BBC and Google forecasts change by the hour on Thursday morning – which also bore no relationship to the forecast on Wednesday! Thankfully it was actually raining at 13.00 so I was pleased that we tried to put it on but cancelled as soon as it was clear the field would not be ready.

There is no day where we are able to repeat the sports day now. Classes are out or events are on every single day from now until the end of term. So what we will do instead is to decide on the day if we are going to go ahead. We will try for KSI and KSII but it could just be Y3/4 and Y5/6 or some such combination.
We will text all relevant parents on the day we are to go ahead and if you can come, then please do. It will just be the racing and taking part. Cups and shields will be given out when all is done.

Whole School Trip

Please just be reminded that your child(ren) will need the appropriate clothing this Tuesday. It may seem obvious but please can you check they actually have their raincoats/sun hats etc before they leave home as we don’t have time to look for coats for those children who come to school with no coats.

Reminder – Summer Fayre

The Summer Fayre will start straight after school on Friday 28th. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Reminder – Open Morning

See you on the 4th for our e-safety open morning.

Looking Back

Apedale, Puzzle Day, Olympic Legacy Day

Well done to all the children for representing the school so well this week. You were a credit to us all.

Go Karts

Well done to all for great racing and sportsmanship. Thanks to Mrs Bridgewood for her assistance.

As always, I will always do my best to speak to you about any concerns you may have on the day so please feel free to approach me, either on the playground or book an appointment if you prefer.
