Looking Forward

Online Security – Advice

We have been given the following instruction with regard to this current online issue with momo:

The advice that has been given by the UK Safer Internet Centre, via the Professional Online Standards Helpline (POSH) for schools was that they do not advise sending out warnings or mentioning the name in newsletters as this could lead children and young people to look for it.  Their message is to have open and general conversations with children about the kind of content they could encounter online, and to ensure children know where to go/who to turn to if they do come across something unsettling.

That said, I appreciate some of you may be asked by parents for guidance on the challenge so we have pulled together some useful information you may want to signpost parents to if you are asked for help.

Please find below our subscription e-safety newsletter.

Parents’ Evening

It is parents evening next week. I would be grateful if parents could do their best to limit their time to the 5 minutes allocated. Should you need more time your teacher will be happy to arrange another meeting at a time that suits.

World Book Day

Please come to school on the 7th as your favourite book character. Please do remember that we don’t allow high heels or jewellery and that coats will still be needed at play and lunch.

Please see posters around the school for information about the school discos.

Looking Back

Year 4 Assembly

An absolute triumph! Well done to all the children for a fabulous performance and to Mrs Baker and her team for a really special assembly.

As always, I will always do my best to speak to you about any concerns you may have on the day so please feel free to approach me, either on the playground or book an appointment if you prefer.
